Full preview of the May 22nd, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEWAEW Dynamite airs live this Wednesday from the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. Many matches have been announced for the last episode of Dynamite before AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada this Sunday, May 26th.
One-on-one matches
Four one-on-one matches are schedulded for this week’s episode of Dynamite. First, the AEW World champion Swerve Strickland will face Nick Wayne only a few days before defending his title against “The Patriarch” Christian Cage at Double Or Nothing; then, the n°1 contender for the TNT championship Malakai Black will battle Kyle O’Reilly, as he prepares for his title match against Adam Copeland; plus, Bryan Danielson will face Satnam Singh; and, Konosuke Takeshita will go one-on-one against Matt Sydal.
Who will challenge Chris Jericho at Double Or Nothing?
Chris Jericho has become FTW champion by defeating HOOK at AEW Dynasty on April 21st. At Double Or Nothing, he will have to put his title on the line against the winner of a FTW 3-Way Eliminator match that will be taking place this Wednesday on Dynamite between Katsuyori Shibata, Bryan Keith and the former champion HOOK. So, which wrestler will seize the chance to face “Lionheart” Chris Jericho in a title match next Sunday?

Two Tag Team matches have also been announced for the show, as the AEW Women’s World champion Toni Storm & Mariah May will face Saraya & Harley Cameron, and Will Ospreay & Orange Cassidy will battle the team of Trent Beretta & the AEW International champion Roderick Strong.
We also know that the IWGP World Heavyweight champion Jon Moxley will be there, as well as the Unified World Trios champions The Bang Bang Gang.
Plus, we will have a preview of the TBS championship match at Double Or Nothing between the champion Willow Nightingale and her challenger Mercedes Moné.
