Will Ospreay will face Ricochet for the International title on AEW Dynamite’s 5th anniversary show.
AEWOne week after challenging The Young Bucks with Kyle Fletcher for the AEW World Tag Team titles, Will Ospreay will have to defend the International championship in an highly anticipated match against AEW new star Ricochet.
The match has been announced during last night’s episode of Dynamite. The two high flyers will battle on the 5th anniversary show of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, October 2nd. It will be Will Ospreay’s second title defense since his victory over MJF at AEW All In 2024, as he retained his championship against PAC at AEW All Out two weeks later.

It’s the first contest made official for the October 2nd event, and the first championship match of Ricochet in All Elite Wrestling, as he made his debut for the company by entering the Casino Gauntlet match at All In on August 25th.
The last match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet was at the 2017 WCPW Pro Wrestling World Cup, when Will Ospreay defeated his opponent. Seven years later, it’s time for Ricochet to take his revenge on “The Aerial Assassin”.
