Tetsuya Naito has regained the IWGP World Heavyweight championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.

Naito takes back his crown
The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon took the win via pinfall with the Destino to become IWGP World Heavyweight champion for the second time in his career. He had already been champion between January and April earlier in the year, as he had won the title by defeating SANADA at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 and he had lost it to Jon Moxley three months later at NJPW Windy City Riot in Chicago, Illinois.

Jon Moxley has been champion for 79 days and has defended the championship five times during his title reign. Powerhouse Hobbs, Ren Narita, Shota Umino and EVIL all lost to him while trying to capture the championship from the member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
