WWE

• April 1: WWE announces the return of Clash At The Castle. The show is schedulded for Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
• April 5: On SmackDown, Bronson Reed wins the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
• April 6: WWE WrestleMania XL Saturday.
  Austin Theory & Grayson Waller win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team championships and Awesome Truth win the WWE Raw Tag Team championships in a 6-Pack Ladder title match.
  Sami Zayn becomes the WWE Intercontinental champion and ends the historic reign of Gunther.
  The Bloodline defeats Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins. The Rock pins Cody Rhodes.
• April 7: WWE WrestleMania XL Sunday.
  Drew McIntyre defeats Seth Rollins and wins the WWE World Heavyweight championship, and Damian Priest cashes-in his Money In The Bank contract on Drew McIntyre to win the title.
  Bayley becomes the new WWE Women’s champion by defeating IYO SKY.
  Cody Rhodes defeats Roman Reigns in the main event to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal champion. The American Nightmare ends his story.
• April 12: On SmackDown, Tama Tonga makes his WWE debut, attacking Jimmy Uso from behind to join Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman in The Bloodline.
• April 15: On Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley vacates the WWE Women’s World championship because of a shoulder injury.
  The WWE Raw Tag Team championships become the WWE World Tag Team championships.
• April 19: The WWE SmackDown Tag Team championships become the WWE Tag Team championships.
• April 22: Becky Lynch wins the vacant WWE Women’s World championship on Monday Night Raw, winning a battle royal and defeating Liv Morgan in the final.
• April 26: Vince McMahon sells all his TKO shares.
  The WWE 2024 Draft starts on Friday Night SmackDown.
• April 27: The Rock announces that Drew McIntyre extended his deal with WWE.
• April 29: Braun Strowman makes his WWE return on Monday Night Raw.

NXT

• April 6: At NXT Stand & Deliver, Roxanne Perez defeats Lyra Valkyria to win the NXT Women’s championship.
• April 9: On NXT, Nathan Frazier & Axiom defeat The Wolf Dogs to become the new NXT Tag Team champions.
• April 23: At NXT Spring Breakin’ Night 1, Trick Williams defeats Ilja Dragunov and becomes the new NXT champion.

AEW/ROH

• April 5: At ROH SuperCard Of Honor, Billie Starkz becomes the inaugural ROH Women’s World TV champion by defeating Queen Aminata.
  On the same night, Mark Briscoe defeats Eddie Kingston to become the new ROH World champion.
• April 21: AEW Dynasty.
  The BULLET CLUB Gold become the new AEW World Trios champions by defeating The Acclaimed.
  Willow Nightingale wins the AEW TBS championship by defeating Julia Hart.
  Chris Jericho defeats HOOK to become the new FTW champion.
  The Young Bucks win the vacant AEW World Tag Team championships by defeating FTR in a Ladder match with the help of the returning Jack Perry.
  Swerve Strickland defeats Samoa Joe and becomes AEW World champion for the first time in his career.

NJPW

• April 12: At NJPW Windy City Riot, Jon Moxley defeats Tetsuya Naito to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight champion.

TNA

• April 20: At TNA Rebellion, Matt Hardy makes his TNA return by confronting the TNA World champion Moose.

Japan

• April 15: Rossy Ogawa announces the launch of his new wrestling promotion Marigold.

Mexico

• April 27: Nic Nemeth wins the vacant AAA Mega championship at AAA TrilpleMania XXXII, defeating Alberto El Patron.

Wrestler & match of the month

Wrestler of the month

Cody Rhodes. It’s the second time in only four months that The American Nightmare is the wrestler of the month, but who else could it be in April 2024? Cody Rhodes became the new face of WWE and is now on top of the wrestling moutain and industry, as he finally defeated The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal champion. Cody Rhodes has finished his story to begin a new chapter in his career. Two other wrestlers could have been named wrestler of the month in April 2024: Swerve Strickland, who became the first African-American wrestler to win the AEW World championship by defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty, and Jon Moxley, who became the first wreslter to win World championships in WWE, AEW and now NJPW as he defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP World Heavyweight champion at NJPW Windy City Riot on April 12th in Chicago.

Match of the month

Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay, AEW Dynasty 2024 (April 21)

This match had absolutely everything you could dream of as a fan watching professional wrestling. The wrestling chemistry between Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay was perfect, and their encounter exceeded expectations. The Aerial Assassin took the win via pinfall, finishing the match with a brutal Hidden Blade which knocked out The American Dragon. Many already consider that this contest will be the 2024 match of the year. We wouldn’t be surprised or dissapointed, but let’s only hope that we’ll get the chance to witness more matches like this one from this day to December.
