Preview of the April 24th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite.
This Wednesday, April 24th, AEW Dynamite makes his return to Jacksonville, Florida and will air live from the famous Daily’s Place. It will be the first episode of Dynamite after the inaugural edition of AEW Dynasty which took place this Sunday, April 21st. The brand new AEW World champion Swerve Strickland will be in action, as well as the IWGP World Heavyweight champion Jon Moxley.
First title defense for Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito at NJPW Windy City Riot on April 12th in Chicago to become IWGP World Heavyweight champion for the first time in his career. He is now the only wrestler to have become World champion in WWE, AEW and NJPW. This Wednesday on Dynamite, he will have to put his title on the line for the first time, as he is set to face Powerhouse Hobbs in what could be an intense championship bout.
Swerve Strickland in action
The new AEW World champion, Swerve Strickland, will also be in action this Wednesday at the Daily’s Place. Three days after defeating Samoa Joe for the biggest prize in all of AEW, he will face the ROH World TV champion Kyle Fletcher in a one-on-one contest. Who will take the “W” in this champion vs. champion match?

One more match has been announced for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as Mina Shirakawa will go one-on-one against Anna Jay.
Plus, three segments are schedulded: Willow Nightingale celebrates her TBS championship win on Dynasty, Chris Jericho makes his first Dynamite appearance as the FTW champion, and Chuck Taylor has to choose whose best friend he is now that Trent Beretta attacked and betrayed Orange Cassidy.
