AEWAEW Dynamite will air this Wednesday, March 27 live from the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Québec, Canada. Five matches have been announced for the show.
First time ever matches in AEW
First, Swerve Strickland will face Konosuke Takeshita one-on-one for the first time ever. Last week in Toronto, Don Callis interrupted Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe’s promo to claim that the members of the Don Callis Family should be next in line to challenge for the AEW World championship. Strickland answered by asking for a match this week on Dynamite against Konosuke Takeshita.
Then, Will Ospreay will face Katsuyori Shibata in a promosing one-on-one contest. Two of the best technical wrestlers in the world will battle for the first time on Dynamite, as Will Ospreay will try to get some momentum going for his upcoming match against Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty on April 21.

Plus, The Young Bucks will face Private Party in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quaterfinal match, as well as the Best Friends who will face Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. The titles have been vacated at the end of AEW Revolution on March 3, as Sting ended his in-ring career by retaining the championships with Darby Allin in the main event of the show. Now that Sting is gone and that Darby Allin is injured, new World Tag Team champions have to be crowned in AEW.
Then, four women will battle in a 4-way match to get a chance at the TBS championship: Anna Jay, Kris Statlander, Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale. Mercedes Moné will be on commentary.
