Two world title matches set for AEW All in 2024

The two World championship matches for AEW All in 2024 have been set last night on Dynamite.

AEW

Last night on AEW Dynamite, the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments took place, as Bryan Danielson faced “Hangman” Page and Mariah May took on last year’s Women’s tournament winner Willow Nightingale. A World championship opportunity at AEW All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London, England was at stake for the men and the women, which means that we now have our two World title matches set for the pay-per-view that will air on Sunday, August 25th.

Bryan Danielson to challenge Swerve Strickland at All In

At the beginning of 2024, Bryan Danielson said that this year would be his last as a full-time professional wrestler, and he is still looking to win his first championship in All Elite Wrestling. Next month at AEW All In, he will get the opportunity to do so, as “The American Dragon” defeated “Hangman” Adam Page via pinfall last night on Dynamite to win the 2024 Men’s Owen Hart Cup and secure his chance to face Swerve Strickland for the AEW World championship. Bryan Danielson has not held any title since 2019 when he was WWE SmackDown Tag Team champion with Rowan. Three years after making his AEW debut at All Out 2021, can the former WWE champion win the big one in AEW?

Mariah May betrays Toni Storm

On the Women’s side, Mariah May defeated the former TBS champion Willow Nightingale via pinfall to win her spot for AEW All In in a Women’s World championship contest. This means she will challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the title on Sunday, August 25th at Wembley Stadium. After her victory, as the AEW Women’s World champion was in her corner during the match, Mariah May betrayed her friend and viciously attacked Toni Storm on the ramp. The message is sent: there is no more friendship when it comes to the World championship conversation. Mariah May has had only twenty matches since her AEW debut and she is already the n°1 contender for the Women’s World championship. Will she be able to defeat her former friend next month at All In?
