Jack Perry has won the TNT championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.
AEWAEW and NJPW presented Forbidden Door this Sunday, June 30th, 2024. The show aired live from the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. The AEW TNT championship was put on the line after Adam Copeland had to vacate it for a serious ankle injury.
Jack Perry, the new king of TNT
Last month at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, Adam Copeland retained the TNT championship by defeating Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match. During the title bout, “The Rated-R Superstar” jumped from the top of the cage and injured himself by doing it. He fractured his ankle indeed, and he had to vacate the title a few days after the event.
This Sunday at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, six men battled in a Ladder match to crown a new champion. Dante Martin, El Phantasmo, Jack Perry, Konosuke Takeshita, Lio Rush and the ROH World champion Mark Briscoe were the participants, and Jack Perry is the one who took the win by grabbing the championship.

Jack Perry wins his third title in AEW, as he has been World Tag Team champion with Luchasuarus and FTW champion in the past. He hadn’t been champion since last August, when he lost the FTW championship to HOOK at AEW All In 2023 at Wembley Stadium, in London.
