NJPW will present NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo 2024 this week-end. The show will take place on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24. We will get the chance to witness two main events: on night 1, Nic Nemeth will challenge David Finlay for the IWGP Global Heavyweight championship, and on night 2, Tetsuya Naito will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight championship against the former champion in SANADA.
The first night will also see Matt Riddle challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NJPW World TV title and Mayu Iwatani defend the IWGP Women’s championship. The second night will mainly be about the rivalry between Los Ingobernables De Japon and Just Five Guys; it will also be the night of the last match of Kazuchika Okada in NJPW before leaving the Japanese company.
