Seth Rollins kicks-off the show. He wants an answer from Cody Rhodes: will the American Nightmare choose the Visionary for WrestleMania? Cody Rhodes joins Seth Rollins in the ring, who says he is better than two years ago when Cody Rhodes defeated him three times in a row. Drew McIntyre interrupts them to say to Cody that he should choose Roman Reigns, to avoid a general disappointment. The Scottish Warrior wants Seth Rollins for the World title at WrestleMania, and thinks he is the legitimate opponent for the World Heavyweight champion who defeated him only thanks to external interventions. Seth Rollins answers to Drew McIntyre, saying that he is not sure he deserves another title shot. Then, McIntyre says that Rollins has been a great and fighting World champion, but he thinks someone will have to take the championship from him.

Drew McIntyre suddenly attacks the injured champion with a Glasgow kiss. Cody Rhodes comes in the rescue by hitting McIntyre in the face, making him leave the ring. So, Cody Rhodes didn’t give his answer yet. We will have to wait this Thursday with the WrestleMania 40 Kick-off media event.

 

• Match #1: DIY defeated Imperium, The Creed Brothers and The New Day via pinfall from Tommaso Ciampa on Giovanni Vinci with the Meet in the Middle to get a chance at a n°1 contenders match for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team championships against Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate on SmackDown this week – Fatal 4-way tag team match.
• Match #2: Becky Lynch defeated Shayna Baszler via pinfall with the Manhandle Slam to qualify for an Elimination Chamber match which will determine Rhea Ripley’s challenger for WrestleMania.
• Backstage segment: Liv Morgan says she will qualify for the Elilination Chamber match next week. She wants to take revenge on Rhea Ripley who cost her some time out of action.
• Backstage segment: Adam Pearce is not happy about Drew McIntyre attacking CM Punk last week and Seth Rollins this week as both are injured. McIntyre says he doesn’t care and is even laughing about it.
• Promo in the ring: Rhea Ripley wants Nia Jax right now. Adam Pearce joins her in the ring and says they will face eacher other at Elimination Chamber, not tonight. Nia Jax then comes and a fight breaks out between the two Superstars despite the preventions of the Raw general manager. Nia Jax inflicts the Annihilator on Rhea Ripley to end the segment despite the intervention of the security.
• Match #3: Ivar & Valhalla defeated Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri via pinfall from Ivar on Akira Tozawa with the World Strongest Slam.
• Backstage segment: R-Truth still believes he is in the Judgment Day.
• Match #4: The Miz defeated JD McDonagh via pinfall with the Skull Crushing Finale. R-Truth caused an involuntary distraction, costing JD McDonagh the match.
• Backstage segment: Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci are in Adam Pearce’s office to make sure that Gunther’s celebration will take place in the right conditions. The Raw GM then tells them to leave the office because he is waiting for someone. Bron Breakker enters the office, and Adam Pearce hands him a Raw contract. We don’t know if the NXT Superstar signed it or not.
• A recorded video shows CM Punk saying that his return when he’ll come back will be the greatest return ever.

Jey Uso wants Gunther and the Intercontinental championship

Imperium celebrate the longevity of Gunther’s championship reign; the Ring General has surpassed 600 days as Intercontinental champion, and he says that there is no more competition for him. But here comes Jey Uso. He wants to challenge Gunther for the title and build his legacy as a single champion. Gunther mocks Jey Uso by saying he has been a great Tag Team champion, but he always had to do 50% of the job. The IC champion pushes Jey Uso who fights back, but he gets attacked by Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci for it. Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods come in Jey Uso’s rescue.

 

• Backstage segment: Shinsuke Nakamura says he will beat Cody Rhodes in the match that Cody’s father created to add a touch of humiliation in the process.
• Match #5: The Kabuki Warriors defeated Katana Chance & Kayden Carter via pinfall from Kairi Sane on Katana Chance with the InSane Elbow to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team championships.
• In a recorded interview, Sami Zayn says he is not an underdog anymore, but he is now a World championship caliber Superstar. He wants to prove it to the WWE Universe.
• Match #6: Cody Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall with the CrossRhodes in the main event – Bull Rope match.
  After the match, Drew McIntyre attacks Cody Rhodes in the ring. The show ends with Drew’s assault on the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner.
