NJPW announces the departure of Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada will be leaving NJPW after the conclusion of his contract on January 31, 2024. The Japanese promotion made the official announcement on social media. NJPW only tweeted the raw info on X just saying “Kazuchika Okada to leave New Japan Pro-Wrestling” and posted a few words about it on Instagram:

So, the last appearance of Kazuchika Okada in NJPW will be at The New Beginning in Sapporo on February 24. The question on everybody’s mind right now is: where will he go then? The logical and most likely choice would be AEW, as the Rainmaker already performed at Forbidden Door and, most recently, on Dynamite. But this is the pro wrestling world, and we never know what could come next.
