Last night on Friday, July 26th, 2024, Ring of Honor presented its annual edition of Death Before Dishonor. As six championships were on the line, there have been two title changes during the event.

Lee Moriarty dethrones Wheeler Yuta

Last night in Arlington, Texas, Wheeler Yuta was defeated by Lee Mortiary who became the new ROH Pure champion. He won his first championship in Ring of Honor, as he had not held any title since June 2021. At the end of the match, Wheeler Yuta hung the belt around the waist of the new champion in sign of respect for him and for the match they just had together. A beautiful contest based on the technique and talent of two great pro wrestlers.

Red Velvet is the new ROH Women’s World TV champion

Plus, Red Velvet defeated Billie Starkz to win the ROH Women’s World TV championship. With this victory, she wins her first career major championship. Billie Starkz had won the title at SuperCard of Honor earlier in the year, and she had never defended it. So, her first title defense will be her last.

All the other champions have retained their titles at Death Before Dishonor last night, including the ROH World and ROH Women’s World champions, Mark Briscoe and Athena, who respectively defeated Roderick Strong and Queen Aminata.
