Ring of Honor WrestlingThe second ROH pay-per-view of the year, Death Before Dishonor, takes place this Friday, July 26th, 2024 at the Esports Stadium in the city of Arlington, Texas. Six matches are scheduled on the card including five championship bouts.
Second title defense for Mark Briscoe
Mark Briscoe has become ROH World champion by defeating Eddie Kingston in the main event of ROH SuperCard of Honor 2024 back in the month of April. As he has successfully defended his title once against Kyle Fletcher on June 20th, he will put it on the line again at Death Before Dishonor, as he will face a former ROH World champion in Roderick Strong, who has indeed held the belt before, between September 2010 and March 2011. So, can the former AEW International champion regain a title he has held fourteen years ago?
Athena: the road to 600 days as champion
Athena is the current and the longest reigning ROH Women’s World champion. She has won the championship at Final Battle 2022, and she approaches the 600 days mark as champion. At Death Before Dishonor, she will defend her title against Queen Aminata, and she will arrive at the Esports Stadium as champion since 594 days. So, will Queen Aminata ruin Athena’s hopes to surpass 600 days as ROH Women’s World champion?

Three other championship matches have been announced: Billie Starkz will defend the ROH Women’s World TV championship against Red Velvet, Wheeler Yuta will put the ROH Pure championship on the line against Lee Moriarty, and Atlantis Jr. will face Brian Cage, Johnny TV, Lee Johnson, Lio Rush and Shane Taylor in a 6-man Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH World TV championship.
Finally, Diamanté will face Leyla Hirsch in a Texas Death match.
