Kelani Jordan has won the inaugural NXT Women’s North American championship at Battleground.
WWEThis Sunday, June 9th, 2024, WWE NXT presented Battleground live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show started with a championship match with high stakes, to crown the first ever NXT Women’s North American champion in the history of the company.
Kelani Jordan enters in the history of NXT
On Saturday, April 6th at NXT Stand & Deliver, the NXT general manager Ava announced the creation of a brand new title, the NXT Women’s North American championship. This Sunday, June 9th at NXT Battleground, Kelani Jordan has won a 6-woman Ladder match against Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker, Lash Legend, Michin and Sol Ruca to become the inaugural title holder. The young American wrestler born in Boynton Beach, Florida has won the first championship in her career, and she will always be remembered as the first ever NXT Women’s North American champion.

Last night at Battleground, Kelani Jordan was the only Superstar to become champion, as Axiom & Nathan Frazer, Oba Femi, Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams all retained their respective title(s).
The next major NXT event will take place in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, July 7th with NXT Heatwave that is set to air the day after WWE Money In The Bank 2024.
